Equalities Conference, 23 March, York 10.00 - 4.00
The Equalities Bill is a very comprehensive piece of legislation that seeks to consolidate a wide range of statutes on discrimination and to extend initiatives to promote equality. It is planned that by the end of March the Bill will have completed its passage through Parliament.
The Conference seeks to provide an up to date introduction to the Equalities Bill and to look at some of the key issues that voluntary and community sector organisations in York and North Yorkshire will need to address in the coming months. Rail and Trail, A Fundraising Walk for Ryedale Charities Together - 5 June
Put this date in your diaries - and you can have both a healthy and enjoyable day out and help to raise funds for seven well-established and valuable charities. The walk is taking place in partnership with the North York Moors Railway and rail transport for walkers to or from their five stations will be provided as part of the entry fee – making this a great bargain! If you are a voluntary and community group operating in Ryedale and would like to advertise your event on our website and in our newsletter, please contact Sarah Richardson on 01653 600120 or email sarah@rva-cvs.org.uk. This service is free of charge to all members of RVA.
If you are not a member of RVA you can still use our advertising service for a small £5.00 fee. Your advert in the newsletter will be a maximum size of 8cm x 10cm and your entry on the website can be up to 5 lines of text with either a link to your website or a link to further information (e.g. a poster which you have supplied us with, or a copy of your invitation).

Due to space constraints in our newsletter we cannot guarantee that we will be able to place your advert or that it will be full size. The charge is a blanket fee for all entries and it is RVA's discretion as to whether or not your advert is included. If we are unable to include your advert you will be informed and no charge will be made.
