‘How to Win the Lottery’ with Sarah Lally-Marley, Funding Advisor, Ryedale Voluntary Action

This morning training session is aimed at helping voluntary and community organisations to construct a successful Big Lottery Fund application.  It will ensure you have all the tools in place for communicating your project idea effectively to the Lottery and take you through how to clearly demonstrate the ‘need’ for your project and help you to understand how to write good ‘outcomes’ as well as understanding why lottery applications fail.

Big Lottery Community Buildings Funding with Caroline James, Regional Development Manager, Big Lottery Fund

The afternoon workshop will be a very practical session with lots of audience participation, including a general presentation about the buildings programme, practical exercises for groups on writing outcomes, general eligibility, the application process and timescales, the Outline Proposal form and some general technical advice and learning from their Community Buildings programme.
