Providing Transport for Ryedale Communities

RYECAT Ltd was established in 2005 to bring together the existing community transport services:

Ryedale Car Scheme a door-to-door social car scheme

Rural Miles minibus brokerage providing an affordable minibus from a variety of sources

Wheels to Work a moped hire scheme for young people to enable them to access work, training or education.

The objective of RYECAT is to sustain and develop existing and new transport projects for the Ryedale District under the guidance of a professional transport manager.

Using RYECAT services

Ryedale residents who experience difficulty accessing public or private transport can become members of RYECAT.

• Car Scheme Individual and family membership costs £5.00 per year
• Car Scheme & Rural Miles Voluntary Organisations & Community Groups Costs £25.00 per year.
• Rural miles only Voluntary Organisations & Community Groups £10.00 per year.
